I did a review on another demanding comb and both work great. I use thus with a detailing spray to loosen the mats and this comb with patience take them out. Cat looks great and doesn't seem traumatized after. Keeps purring throughout, but you don't ram it through the mats. You do have to take your time and work them out. Move slowly from the ends to the mat. Make sure to hold down fir to lessen pulling and it does a great job on many mays but some just need to be cut. Best tool so far for Russian Forest cat. Give lots of treats.
